Strauss & co - Review 2022

Strauss & Co once again participated in August Art Month, an annual celebration of arts and culture hosted by collectors Frank and Lizelle Kilbourn at Welgemeend. The event always features an exhibition. The 2022 exhibition, Homage: Erken/ Verken , celebrated the achievements of art-market pioneers and tastemakers Louis and Charlotte Schachat, founders, in 1971, of the legendary Cape Town art gallery Die Kunskamer. The exhibition honoured the gallery’s role in supporting the local art market by promoting established and little-known South African artists. 60
