• In November, IN/FORM: Exploring South African Sculpture surveyed various developments in three-dimensional artistic production from modernist pioneer Anton van Wouw to contemporary artists Josephine Ghesa, Frances Goodman and Angus Taylor. Dylan Lewis and Edoardo Villa earned the top prices, Lewis for a pair of cheetahs (S347) and Villa for his majestic two-metre bronze Mother and Child . Each work sold for R910 400 ($53 789). • Also in November, Modern and Contemporary Art with a focus on The Fairest Cape drew attention to an evergreen landscape genre. Gregoire Boonzaier, Terrence McCaw and Nita Spilhaus posted strong results. An automated system of notifications will enable buyers to track favourite artists and/or works in preferred media. Establishing a wish list requires some basic input from buyers. Buyers must be logged into their profiles on Strauss & Co’s online portal. The system is intuitive. To view any existing wish lists, click on the heart icon in the upper right corner of the splash page, which leads to a page with favourites. Alternately, follow the “browse by artist” button to an artist page and click the button “track this artist”.
