Ezrom Legae Small Head Sold R432 440 Preller’s ascendency at market in the last decade is not an isolated phenomenon. Other post-war artists who consistently perform well include the sculptors Sydney Kumalo, Ezrom Legae and Edoardo Villa. Legae’s 1967 bronze, Small Head , sold for R432 440 in April. Three sculptures by Villa made between 1953 and 1995 all achieved respectable prices. Figure with Drapery , a bronze made in an edition of six in 1953, sold for R682 800.
