Subsequently he has participated in a number of group shows, notably This Must be the Place , iArt (2010) and The Night Show , Goodman Gallery (2010). Dan Halter was born in Zimbabwe. Relocating to South Africa, he graduated in 2001 from UCT with a BA(FA). He has had three solo shows: at the João Ferreira Gal- lery (2006), Derbylius Gallery, Milan (2008) andWhat- iftheworld Gallery (2010). He has participated in numerous group shows including at the Iziko South African National Gallery and in Berlin, London and São Paulo. In 2008 he was part of the 3rd Guangzhou Triennial in China, and was nominated as one of the MTN New Contemporaries . He has been on residencies in Zürich, Rio de Janeiro and Scotland. Halter represented Zimbabwe at the 10th Ha- vana Biennale (2009) and had work at DakArt in Senegal (2010).This year he will again take part in VideoBrasil in São Paulo, and the 7th Triennial of Contemporary Textile Arts of Tournai, Belgium.
