Justin Brett is a visual artist and designer based in Cape Town. He completed his MFA at the Michaelis School of Fine Art with distinction, where he lectures part-time in drawing, painting and sculpture. Amongst other things his work is pre-occupied with architecture and with what seems to be its ability to operate as a symbolic system of signs, rather than simply a functionalist discourse. 4 Jake Aikman . Jake Aikman was born in London in 1978 and has a Masters Degree from Michaelis School of Fine Art. He has participated in several group exhibitions and in early 2009 SMAC Art Gallery hosted his solo show entitled Echoes . Aikman was also selected for participation in the major exhibition, L’Anima Del Acqua:The Spirit of Water , sponsored by the Italian government and presented at the Ca’ d’Ora Palace as part of the 53rdVenice Biennale. He was an invited artist at the 4th Beijing International Art Biennale in 2010.
