Ali Aschman received her BA(FA) from the Michaelis School of Fine Art in 2006. She had a solo exhibition, The Moonlight Wisteria , at Whatiftheworld Gallery in 2007. In 2008 she moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she now lives and works. Aschman has participated in group exhibitions at several galleries and project spaces including Parlour, Storefront, Flux Factory, Space1026 and Wassaic Project. Chad Rossouw is a writer, lecturer and artist. He has a BA(FA) from Michaelis and is currently pursuing his Master degree, also at UCT. Under the alias Robert Sloon he is founding editor of the art blog ArtHeat. His writing on art is regularly published in journals, newspapers, online forums and as catalogue essays. He teaches History of Photography at the Ruth Prowse School of Fine Art. He recently exhibited alongside Charles Maggs at Whatiftheworld Gallery and has had two previous solo shows, at blank projects, Cape Town (2006) and the Parking Gallery, Johannesburg (2006). His work has been on numerous group shows and is included in the Iziko South African National Gallery’s collection.
