Graduating from Michaelis 1991 with a BA(FA) and 1995 with a MFA, Fritha Langerman is an Associate Professor teaching in the Printmedia and Drawing sections at the Michaelis School of Fine Art. Nicholas Hales is an artist living in Cape Town and working in a number of disciplines: painting, drawing and video. He obtained an Advanced Diploma in Fine Art from Michaelis in 1992 and a Diploma in Graphic Design, also from UCT, in 1991. He has held four solo exhibitions, at the Irma Stern Museum (1999), AVA (2002) and Joao Ferreira Gallery (2005 and 2007). Hales has participated in numerous group shows in South Africa and internationally, winning a number of awards for his work.
