David Brown graduated from Michaelis with a Certificate in Graphic Design (1972) and an Advanced Diploma in Photography (1973), followed by informal sculpture tuition with Cecil Skotnes in 1976. He has numerous awards and commissions to his name, including a large public sculpture for the UCT campus. Charles Maggs is a Cape Town based visual artist and lecturer. He holds an MFA in New Media from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, awarded with distinction in 2006, and currently is a senior lecturer in visual communication at the AAA School of Advertising. He works predominantly with digital mediums, including video, sound, the internet and photography. Recent projects include the solo 2010 exhibition Eye, Young Blackman, Cape Town, Syndrome at Whatiftheworld, Cape Town with Robert Sloon (2009), and the video pieces, Walking Man , South African National Gallery (2008) and RT at Spier Contemporary (2007). Charles has exhibited work locally, internationally and online.
