Terry Kurgan graduated from Michaelis in 1992 and is now based in Johannesburg. She works across a range of media and runs an active studio and public sphere practice. Her interest is in the complex, paradoxical nature of all photographic transactions. Her projects have been sited in spaces as diverse as a hospital, public library, Johannesburg shopping mall, city park and a prison. She has been awarded many prizes and grants, and has exhibited and published broadly, in South Africa and internationally. Currently, her work is included on Figures & Fictions: Contemporary South African Photography at the V&A Museum, London, and she is working on the book publication of her digital, interactive Hotel Yeoville project, to be published by Fourthwall Books, Johannesburg later this year. 29 Cara van der Westhuizen . Cara van der Westhuizen graduated with a MFA from the University of Cape Town in 2007. She currently lectures in Printmaking at the same institution. Van der Westhuizen has exhibited both locally and internationally and her work is held in several prestigious collections. She is currently working towards a solo exhibition in November of this year.
