Penny Siopis is Honorary Professor at the Michaelis School of Fine Art. Before taking up this appointment she taught at Wits University for many years. Her work covers a wide range of media and practices, including painting, installation and video. She has exhibited extensively in South Africa and beyond. She has had 26 solo exhibitions and participated in many group shows, including international biennales, the Sydney Biennale (2010) being the most recent.
