Strauss & co - 19 October 2019

This is the second of our Saturday Live auctions, a development Strauss & Co initiated in 2019, which has been made possible by the expansion of our Houghton premises. This limited-lot sale focuses on mid-range artworks by established artists and covers all the key time periods. This auction also includes a special focus on Rorke’s Drift ceramics and tapestries as well as some mid-century modern furniture. The iconic Pride bench by Houtlander is a special feature. Saturday Live is part of our strategic plan to diversify our sales programme. The sale fills a strategic niche between our five premium live sales and eight online auctions. Buyers and sellers will benefit from longer previews and focused sale attention. Emerging collectors will have an opportunity to access Strauss & Co’s energetic live-sale platform in a boutique setting.
