153 A brass coal bucket circular, raised on a conforming foot, moulded with bosses, rolled rim, the sides applied with lion mask-and-ring handles, the body moulded in relief with an armorial, fleurs-de-lys and fruit, dents, 33,5cm high R - R 154 A ‘Winston Churchill’ toby jug designed by Leonard Jarvis, 20th century modelled in the style of a Ralph Wood example, the seated figure wearing a tricorn hat, one hand raised with ‘V’ for Victory, the other holding a painter’s palette, an inkwell and book to one side, a bricklayer’s tool to the other, the reverse applied with a loop handle, signed, inscribed ‘no. 83’, the base inscribed ‘The RT. Hon. Winston S. Churchill O.M., C.H., F.R.S., M.P.’, chips to paintbrushes, firing cracks to the base, 17cm high R - 155 A bronze sculpture of a polo player, 20th century modelled in the midst of play, on a tapering rectangular slate base, 18cm high ; an onyx ashtray, 20th century, mounted with a cold painted figure of a polo player astride his horse, 14,5cmwide ; and an Italian painted gilt and mixed metal figure of a soldier, Gippe Vasani, 20th century, dressed as a knight, standing holding his helmet in his right arm and a sword in his left, with standard, raised on a stepped onyx base, on foliate feet, signed Gippe Vasani, 27cm high (3) R - 156 A Staffordshire ‘chinoiserie’ two-handled vase, 19th century the baluster body moulded and painted with recessed panels of oriental scenes enclosed by a royal-blue ground highlighted with orange flowerheads and gilt foliage, the shoulders moulded in relief with a pair of gilt and iron-red dragon handles, restoration, faux underglaze-blue six-character mark, 54,3cm high ; and a Japanese Imari bowl, Meiji period 1868- 1912, the centre painted with a ho-ho bird and dragon contesting a flaming pearl, the hexagonal body decorated with panels of Buddhist emblems, shi-shi and foliate motifs, damaged, 10cm high (2) R - 153 154 155 156 65
