F. Seale, Cape Town , subsidiary strike-silent and regulation dials, four-pillar anchor escapement with Westminster quarter chime on four gongs and striking the hour on a bell, with pull repeat function, the backplate stamped W & H Sch, (Wiinterhalder and Hofmeier) the triangular pediment with gilt foliate grille, above a glazed door flanked by fluted columns, the sides with fretwork doors, on a stepped base raised on bracket feet, lacking winder, the movement in need of a service, distress, 54cm high R  -   118 A Chinese carved ebonised hardwood ‘bamboo’ stand, late 19th/early 20th century the triangular pediment above an arrangement of six rectangular open shelves with carved bamboo galleries, the pierced back board carved with flowers, fruit and sprays of bamboo, on paw-and-ball feet, 198cm high, 103cmwide, 36cm deep R  -   This lot appears in photographs of Harcroft, Perak, during Charles and Muriel Rycroft’s occupancy post 1945 119 An imbuia three-piece salon suite, 20th century comprising: a pair of armchairs and a three- seater settee, each with triple-arched carved top-rail above a shield-shaped caned back, downswept arms with leaf-carved and scroll supports, caned sides, with squab cushions, upholstered base, raised on cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet, the settee 197cm long (3) R  -   The lot appears in photographs of Harcroft, Cape Town, during Charles and Muriel Rycroft’s occupancy post 1951. 55
