17 A Bokhara carpet, Pakistan, modern condition: fair, 380 by 280cm R  -   18 A spelter figure of Mephistopheles, after Jacques Louis Gautier, French, (1831- ) the standing cloaked figure with a sword, signed, 90,5cm high ; and a grey-veined marble pedestal, 19th/20th century, with circular top and stepped plinth base, some distress, 106cm high, 37cm diameter (2) R  -   The plinth appears in photographs of Harcroft, Cape Town, during Charles and Muriel Rycroft’s occupancy post 1951. 19 A pair of Burmese silver- mounted ivory elephant tusks, 20th century each set into the back of a kneeling Burmese elephant, the tusks supporting a temple gong, raised on a rectangular-shaped wavy base, with associated clapper, restorations, the silver apparently unmarked, 95 by 183cm R  -   *This lot is not suitable for export 17 18 19 24
