In 1980, after several years of experimentation and visits to Bordeaux, Nico Myburgh and Giorgio Dalla Cia produced the icon Rubicon and one of South Africa’s first Merlots. 2009 was produced by Chris Williams and is considered one of the great vintages of the era. It will continue to age for many years. ‘Usual distinctive, classic styling in 2009, tightly structured but with lovely succulent dark plum & mineral core, embellished with dark chocolate & spice.
