With their son Mike Ratcliffe taking over the reins in 1999, Warwick was propelled to even greater heights. The Trilogy, named for the three major varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, is their flagship blend. The 2008 ‘treads that fine line between accessibility & structure. Cassis & tobacco, white pepper & polished tannins all give immediate pleasure, but the best is yet to come, drink till +-2020.’ Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2012, 4.5 stars
