He started Le Riche Wines in 1996 with the aim to produce the finest possible Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon. The Le Riche Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a limited production of their very best and has since become a NewWorld benchmark. 2009 is one of the finest modern-day Stellenbosch vintages, a wine of dense fruit and power. ‘The tannin structure is a marvel of succulent moreishness.’ Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2013, 4.5 stars
