Aged between 18 and 24 months in 225L new French oak barrels, bottled unfiltered and bottle-aged for a year and made under the watchful eye of Dawie Botha. ‘Dense and layered, with lots of roasted fig, blackberry pâte de fruit and plum sauce flavours that stay defined thanks to lively ganache, espresso and anise notes throughout. The finish is very fleshy, but has lovely mouthfeel, with really polished structure sailing through. 660 cases made.’ Wine Spectator, 93/100
