Owned by the fourth generation Krige family, Abri Beeslaar is their long-term winemaker who has won International Winemaker of the year an incredible 3 times. The Black Label was introduced as a limited-edition bottling in 2006 ‘to make an international statement with a uniquely South African wine’, according to owner Johann Krige, cementing the team’s confidence in South Africa’s own red variety. Produced from 60-year-old bush vines, this is a big, bold Pinotage filled with enormous complexity. Each wine is individually numbered and labelled with a hologram to ensure authenticity.
