Accompanied by a conservation report and letter of authenticity by Jan Middeljans, Conservator of Fine Art, National Museum of Cultural History, Pretoria. The painting depicts the house known as Bishop Bousfield House, and later Bishopscote, in Struben Street, Pretoria. At the time the painting was executed, the house was occupied by Bishop Carter.
