Other examples from the edition illustrated on pages 52-55. ‘Sleeping on Glass (1999) was a film made to be projected onto a two- way mirror. As the image projected darkens, so the viewer is more aware of his or her reflection in the mirror. As the image lightens, the viewer sees less of his or her own image and more of the projected image. The etchings that come out of the film Sleeping on Glass use the palimpsest effect of printing onto chine collé pages such that the image is layered onto the page behind, yielding if not image and cause of image, image and a text that has some half-evident connection to the image.’ (Bronwyn Law-Viljoen, page 80)
