The Bartinney Estate& Strijdomvan derMerwe Lot Bartinney is set on the dramatic slopes of Botmaskop alongside the Helshoogte Pass overlooking the picturesque Banhoek Valley in Stellenbosch. The winning bidder will receive the first ever once-off collection of vertical vintages of Bartinney’s most awarded wines, housed in a magnificent “Cellar Man”. These include the Bartinney Cabernet Sauvignon, Bartinney Chardonnay and Bartinney Elevage as well as the unreleased Bartinney Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The unique “Cellar Man” wine rack has been created and made by world renowned landscape artist Strijdom van der Merwe. In addition Rose and Michael Jordaan will host a private dinner for six people on the beautiful Bartinney Estate. This exceptional dinner will be paired indulgently with all the wines from the vertical vintages The collaboration between Strijdom van der Merwe and Rose, in the past, has created the iconic “Elevage” figure, planted in fynbos in the vineyards of Bartinney and visible from space on the Botmaskop in Banhoek. This image can be seen at the dinner in their private homestead on Bartinney Estate. Strijdom van der Merwe has international critical acclaim as a Landscape artist and has installations all over the world. He has created the “Cellar Man” especially for The AfrAsia Bank Cape Wine Auction.
