The Kanonkop Lot Kanonkop Estate is situated on the lower slopes of the Simonsberg Mountains in the Stellenbosch region of the Cape and produces some of South Africa’s most premium wines. The name Kanonkop was derived from a kopjie (hillock), from which a canon was fired in the 17th century to alert farmers in outlying areas that sailing ships plying the waters between Europe and the Far East had entered Table Bay for a stopover at Cape Town. Kanonkop is a fourth generation family estate, which was originally purchased by JW Sauer, a cabinet minister in the parliament of the Union of South Africa. This estate has since then been handed down from father to son for over forty years and is now in the talented, capable hands of it current owners Paul and Johann Krige. The winning bidder will receive an incredible six vintage vertical of the following wines. Pinotage Magnums – 2013; 2012; 2011; 2010; 2009; 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Magnums – 2011; 2010; 2009; 2008; 2007; 2006 Paul Sauer Magnums – 2012; 2011; 2010; 2009; 2008; 2007 This amazing collection will be presented in specially crafted wooden boxes. — www.kanonkop.co.za — Lot Summary A six vintage vertical magnum collection of each of the following amazing wines presented in specially crafted wooden boxes. — Pinotage Magnums 2013; 2012; 2011; 2010; 2009; 2008 — Cabernet SauvignonMagnums 2011; 2010; 2009; 2008; 2007; 2006 — Paul Sauer Magnums 2012; 2011; 2010; 2009; 2008; 2007 — AUCTION AMBASSADORS - Paul & Johann Krige 57
