10 Vintage with Love, in association with the forum company, is a charitable initiative to raise funds for charity through a sale of once loved, fashionable clothing. As vintage fashion gains momentum as a fashion trend around the world, fashion-forward individuals are constantly on the hunt for timeless vintage treasures. From Kate Moss to Alexa Chung, women around the world know that it is those vintage finds that truly set your style apart from the rest. This trend is what inspired two Johannesburg friends, Leigh Ord and Jacquie Myburgh Chemaly, to incorporate fashion and charity into one fabulous event: a vintage fashion sale. They joined forces with Glynis Hyslop of the forum company to creat a pop up shop at the forum at The Campus in Bryanston on the 11th and 12th May 2013. All funds raised through Vintage with Love will be donated to two literacy charities, The Shine Centre and The Click Foundation. Both charities run school reading programmes at the foundation stage, ensuring that when children reach the crucial ages of nine and ten, they are able to read well and therefore continue their studies in an effective manner.
