Signed and maker’s mark Van Cleef and Arpels Has signature and mark denoting a maker which in Strauss & Co’s opinion is authentic. 3. Mounted by Van Cleef and Arpels. In Strauss & Co’s opinion the setting has been created by the jeweller using stones originally supplied by the jeweller’s client. 4. Mount only by Van Cleef and Arpels. In Strauss & Co’s opinion the mounting is by the jeweller, but either the gemstones have been replaced or the piece has been altered in some way after its manufacture.
